Facilities Maintenance Technician

Saddle & Cycle Club is looking for a dependable, skilled, and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team and help maintain our Club’s buildings, equipment, and property.

Founded in 1895, Saddle & Cycle Club is a private family club with a longstanding tradition of exceptional service, recreation, and hospitality.

The Role

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll play an important role in keeping the Club’s facilities safe, functional, and maintained to the high standards our members expect.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll perform general repairs and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot facility issues, assist with building and mechanical systems, and help support the day-to-day needs of our Club.

What You’ll Do

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout Club buildings, equipment, furnishings, and property.
• Complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, tile, flooring, door, window, and lock repairs.
• Assist with the maintenance and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, plumbing, electrical, lighting, pumps, and other mechanical systems.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on Club equipment and building systems.
• Regularly inspect facilities and equipment to identify needed repairs or maintenance.
• Respond to and complete assigned maintenance work orders.
• Identify and report significant repair needs and safety concerns.
• Assist with outside contractors and service providers.
• Maintain maintenance supplies, parts, tools, and equipment.
• Keep maintenance shops and work areas clean, safe, and organized.
• Assist with the maintenance of recreational areas, pool equipment, parking areas, and other Club facilities.
• Help with setup and breakdown for Club events and special functions as needed.
• Assist with seasonal responsibilities, including snow and ice removal.
• Respond to facility and equipment emergencies as directed.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two or more years of general maintenance experience preferred.
• Vocational or technical training in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, or a related trade is a plus.
• Working knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, refrigeration, and building maintenance.
• Comfortable safely operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and perform general repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining facilities to a high standard.
• Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize multiple maintenance needs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in a private club, hospitality, commercial, or institutional setting is a plus.

Position Details

• Full-Time
• Hourly / Non-Exempt
• Reports to the Facilities Director
• Schedule may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on Club operations and facility needs.
• Active, hands-on position requiring frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, climbing, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
• Indoor and outdoor work throughout the Club property.
