Role: Dynamics CRM Technical Consultant

Location: Arlington, VA (Remote)

Role Overview:

• We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Azure Technical Architect to lead the modernization and decoupling of a Dynamics CRM 9.x on-premises backend application to Azure-native services.
• This is a hands-on technical leadership role. The architect will define the target architecture, guide the development team, make key technology decisions, and personally contribute to the design, development, troubleshooting, and migration of complex Dynamics CRM components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the technical architecture and migration strategy for moving Dynamics CRM backend capabilities to Azure.
• Assess CRM plug-ins, workflows, custom workflow activities, integrations, database dependencies, and attachments.
• Define the appropriate Azure replacement pattern for each Dynamics component.
• Hands-on development and conversion of complex CRM plug-ins and workflows into .NET APIs, Azure Functions, Durable Functions, Container Apps, Logic Apps, and Service Bus-based services.
• Design scalable, secure REST APIs using .NET/C# and Azure API Management.
• Define event-driven architecture using Azure Service Bus, including retry, dead-letter, and error-handling patterns.
• Lead migration of CRM data to Azure SQL and annotation/attachment content to Azure Blob Storage.
• Define coexistence, data synchronization, cutover, rollback, performance, HA/DR, security, and monitoring strategies.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct design/code reviews, establish development standards, and mentor developers.
• Work directly with customer architects, engineering teams, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Dynamics CRM, Azure, APIs, integrations, and databases.

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of Dynamics CRM/Dynamics 365 and enterprise application development experience.
• Proven Technical Architect/Technical Lead experience on large modernization programs.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Dynamics CRM 9.x on-premises, plug-ins, workflows, SDK, Web API, execution pipeline, and SQL.
• Strong hands-on C#, .NET, REST API and SQL development skills.
• Strong Azure experience with Functions, Durable Functions, Service Bus, API Management, Logic Apps, Container Apps, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, Entra ID, Key Vault, Application Insights, and Azure DevOps.
• Experience designing scalable, event-driven and highly available Azure applications.
