Senior GL & Cost Accountant (SAP Specialist) Location: Boca Raton, FL (100% On-Site / North Boca Business Park)
Position Type: Contract (Initial 2-Month Project Runway)
Pay Rate: $45.00 – $50.00 / hour (W-2 or C2C depending on payroll setup)
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (40 Hours/Week, 0 Overtime Expected)
Daily Core Responsibilities
- Month-End Close Execution: Calculate, validate, and post-high-volume journal entries directly into SAP; manage multi-entity ledger frameworks to ensure total GAAP compliance.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform deep-dive balance sheet reconciliations and audit assigned accounts (cash, prepaid inventory, and accrued purchases) for overall variance and operational discrepancies.
- Fixed Assets Management: Maintain, audit, and clean up the SAP Fixed Asset module, executing depreciation schedules and tracking localized capital expenditure allocations.
- Purchases Clearing & PO Oversight: Monitor monthly Open PO and "Inventory Received-Not-Billed" tracking reports to flag and resolve processing bottlenecks between Purchasing and Accounts Payable.
- Operational Variance Analysis: Formulate cost exception templates and rolling budget-to-actual variance reports to support plant leaders and executive decision-making.
Required Qualifications & Tech Stack
- Education: Completed Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BBA) in Accounting or Finance is strictly required.
- ERP Mastery: Advanced, hands-on operational experience with SAP (or SAP BPC/Hyperion) is a non-negotiable requirement for this immediate contract.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive corporate GL accounting or cost accounting experience, ideally within a structured, highly regulated, or manufacturing environment (FDA, aerospace, automotive, or medical device fields).
- Data Tools: Advanced MS Excel skill set (Pivot Tables, complex VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, data modeling matrices).
- Location: Must be local to the South Florida market and capable of working 100% on-site at our North Boca Raton commercial facility.
